A scary thing happens when we continuously talk ourselves out of being excited or hopeful: we begin to accept the idea that we don’t deserve rewards and goodness in life. But this just isn’t true.

This kind of thinking can wreak havoc on our self-perception, and over time, it insidiously affects every aspect of our lives. Maybe our own thoughts and words can’t actually change reality, but they can change the way we perceive reality, which often feels like the same thing.

How to Get Rid of Negative Thoughts

 
Changing up your inner monologue to emphasize positive thinking is the best way to combat negative thoughts.
