For most of us, it’s hard to imagine how to start a new career…let alone how to start a new career at 50.
In this episode of the Stand Out Be You Podcast, your host Tequila Dodard is joined by Suzy Rosenstein, who has dedicated herself to helping people answer that very question.
As a master-certified life and weight coach on a mission to help women get excited about their lives all over again, Suzy speaks about how to make the jump from a job you tolerate to one that truly fulfills your sense of purpose.
Listen on to learn more about how to not be frustrated with your current place in life, and how to see the future as full of opportunities again.
I wish that I knew then what I know now, about how your thinking creates your feelings…
For 27 years, Suzy worked in public health day in and day out. The last five of those years, she explains, were spent feeling unhappy and stagnant. Her job, which didn’t let her make direct connections with the people she helped, felt boring and uninspired—and then came the dreaded knock on the door.
We all fantasize about what we’d do if we were fired tomorrow. And for Suzy, it turned out to be a gift. In this episode, she details the steps she took from anxiety to triumph, making her way into a career as a life coach in order to help people just like her.
Her dreams of working directly with people to help change their lives were realized, and her frank advice and insights are awesome resources for anyone considering a similar path!
Mid-life is really just a stage, Suzy insists—not an age range. Whether turning 50 is freaking you out, your career is uninspiring in your late 20s, or menopause and an empty nest are worrying you, change is possible.
In this episode, we’ll talk about how to recognize the need to move on to something new, and how you can get from what you know to what you want…even if you don’t know what you want yet.
Everyone deserves to live the life they want to live. And everyone has more power than they think they have over their own future! If you’re feeling frustrated with your career, if you’re transitioning, or if you’ve already made the move to a career you love, we want to hear from you.
