Making an impact on the lives of others can be hard. Even when we have the best of intentions, formulating a plan and actually following through on it can be an overwhelming struggle.
It’s even rarer for us to hear about people who are making an impact across different continents—but that’s exactly what our guest on today’s podcast is doing!
Originally from Zimbabwe, Thembi has made it her mission to help women around the world take control of their lives, creating their own financial freedom. Today, she runs her own online business to help women learn to invest in real estate and to create their own success.
Action trumps perfection. Just do it. Just don’t wait. If you look at my website, I built my first website on my own…I thought I needed a website and I thought I had to build it myself, I didn’t know I needed to hire someone to do it. But sometimes you just have to do it. Just do it.
A lot of us move to entrepreneurship from the corporate world. For Thembi, when she first got her start, she initially struggled to transition her skills from her job as a registered nurse. She had her passion to help women (and plenty of it!), but she found that she had to work hard and adapt well to change, to direct this passion into her online business.
Thembi’s honesty about her struggles, and the steps she took to get herself on track are helpful for any listener. Plus, Thembi’s drive to teach women around the world is truly inspiring.
On this episode, learn more about the schedule Thembi developed for herself, the importance of building time for family, and what she would have done differently if she could start over. Thembi’s story is a rich resource—and an empowering listen!
Thembi’s parting advice for us today is to follow our passion in life, without letting that drive and excitement fade. If you’re feeling inspired to collaborate with others and grow your passion, hear tips and tricks from people in your shoes, or learn more from Thembi and other podcast guests, you can get started by joining us in Faces of Collaboration, our Stand Out Be You Facebook community.
