You know you’re supposed to listen to your gut…but how often do you actually do it? And what does it even mean to “listen to your body?”
On today’s episode of the Stand Out Be You Podcast, Holly Wade joins your host Tequila Dodard to help us understand why hearing what your body says is so important, and how to get started. As a fitness and wellness professional with nearly 25 years of experience, Holly’s motivation in life is to help women who feel exhausted and disconnected tap into their own wisdom and change their perspective on life.
So bliss, to me…I mean, the definition is just this perfect peace. It’s a spiritual term. It’s being in full harmony. And when we can connect our body’s wisdom, we can tap into our soul’s truth. And when we can do that, we can understand what our life’s purpose is. And when those three things are in alignment, your body is at ease. Life is just kind of in a flow.
We live in a busy time. There’s not a second to slow down and take a break, and there’s no such thing as moving at an unhurried pace. We ignore our intuition, the subtle messages our body sends us, in favor of tackling the next problem in our lives.
But things haven’t always been this way. Holly explains how taking the time to understand your body’s reactions is an ancient, traditional wisdom passed down through generations. After all, from the moment we arrive in this world, our body is our home—and it’s the most important thing we’ll ever need to understand.
In this episode of the podcast, Holly recounts her own journey toward understanding her body’s signals, and the way she encourages and motivates others to slow down and do the same.
