Collaboration is the purposeful actions we take as entrepreneurs to enhance the world, build deep relationships and expand our learning together.  But, do you find yourself avoiding collaborations because you want to steer clear of drama?  Or maybe you consider yourself an introvert and talking to people freaks you out just a tad bit.

Collaborating in business is vital.  But truth be told working with other people is hard; however, it's worth it when you do make it work.

Collaboration is powerful, and it helps to expand and strengthen your business.

It's in your connections, ideas, and creativity that you grow in business and life.  Collaboration is powerful today for any organization or business and when done effectively can take your business to the next level.

If you have not yet started collaborating as an entrepreneur, then read on to learn reasons why women entrepreneurs should collaborate in business.

When you are part of a community, it was always essential to work in teams and to have social skills.  Social skills that help you stand out especially inside the world of marketing.

While working well with others is one of the most critical roles in the success of any corporation, the question of the day is:

Do these same expectations apply to the online world?

Today, more than ever the internet is creating new entrepreneurs.  According to Entrepreneur.com around 555,000 people become entrepreneurs and start a new business every month.

Are these 555,000 people working alone or are they collaborating?  Today for “collaboration talk” we are going to say they are collaborating and we are going to discuss how entrepreneurs can skyrocket their success by opening up their minds to work with others.

You see I have never been part of an organization where the owner or CEO reached success alone, and I bet you big dollars this remains true if you are one of the entrepreneurs that are out here on the internet running your business today.  You are not doing it alone.

Now because collaboration is one of the keys to scaling your business I am going to share a few reasons why you should be collaborating in your business to take it to the next level.

When an opportunity arises to work with an unfamiliar entrepreneur that is working with your similar target market you should consider joining forces, you can make this step easier by highlighting the commonalities you both have and being open to sharing thoughts and ideas.

When looking to scale a business it comes down to three simple choices, build, buy or partner.  Out of the millions of businesses created every day, as we have heard quite often many of them fail.  While many fail there are many that succeed as well.

Let's say for the purpose and focus of this article that this success happens because these businesses chose to take a different approach.    These entrepreneurs and business owners gravitated towards and focused differently on scaling parts of their business.

This approach I speak of is collaboration.  The time has come to consider collaborating with others to reach optimal success and grow your business.

Here are the reasons why you as an entrepreneur should consider collaborating in your business to scale and grow.

Increased Freedom

It’s empowering and even freeing to run your own business but there’s also a scary downside — if you have to re-prioritize projects, or you need to take a leave from operations, then everything comes to a halt.  When this happens, all plans and deliverables stop dead in their tracks.  Collaboration provides an increased sense of freedom that gives you a safety net that allows projects and initiatives to continue in production.

Awareness and Branding

We all know to increase the growth of any business you need more eyes on the company.  Collaborating with another increases the number of eyeballs on your product or service.  When we collaborate, we are sharing our audience and at the same time expanding our consumer reach.

Double Innovation and Ideas

Brainstorming is an automatic by-product of collaboration.  When we collaborate with the right team, we can evoke new, unique ideas and spike productivity.  A shared mental load can welcome new innovative ideas and relief from being tasked the only creative.

Mistakes Uncovered

Most times when starting or when running a business online we begin to spread ourselves too thin.  Collaborating allows individuals to share their experiences along with their mistakes made along the way.  When this happens, we cut down on the blunders and bad decisions that can keep us from getting to our destination quicker than going at it alone.

Focus and Accountability

Having a person there to hold you accountable allows you to stay on track.  When you have an established plan and goals, it keeps you from being on Netflix for hours with no end… Hey, no judgment.  It's easy to blow off essential task items and objectives when you are not held accountable or when you do not have an accountability partner.   When you do have one, it increases your accomplished goals.

When you have a partner, you typically meet more often to discuss business, share goals and objectives for the day, week, month and year depending on the project.  When this happens, you end up cheering each other on, give check-in and report to each other on completed work.

Uniting efforts with others will bring many rewards. Personally, when I collaborate, I get to see the viewpoints of others and learn about their thinking processes. I get to look at and evaluate ideas I may have missed on my own.

I learn and produce more when I focus on being collaborative with my work.

Social collaboration is on the rise with entrepreneurs – and the reason why is because entrepreneurs can no longer operate as a one man or woman show to build an audience and grow the business at great lengths.

It's time to build strong partnerships and reach more significant business outcomes.  The online business world is taking a shift and collaboration is key!

So where do you fall in business collaboration?  Do you prefer to work alone, with others or a little bit of both?   How do you create partnerships?  How do you collaborate in business? Let us know how got started in the comments.
